About Me
Graduating from the University of Bristol with a degree in Physics during the chaotic year that was 2020, I decided to explore the world of software engineering. During my time at university, I enrolled in a few coding courses and found that it was a great blend of problem-solving and creativity. Fast forward to today, I am a software engineer at Correla - a SaaS company that enables asset deployment and simplifies installation and commissioning for energy suppliers. My current stack includes PostgreSQL, Python (Django), and NextJS.
Outside of work, you can find me playing video games, like the stereotypical developer, or skateboarding...not so much like the stereotypical developer. I also love personal development. Currently, I am developing a home lab where I can experiment with different technologies and tools. Examples of services I am running include Traefik for reverse proxying, PiHole for ad-blocking, Plex for media streaming, and many more.

Development of a Multi-threaded Google Trends Data Scraper
Developed a multi-threaded Python cron job that scrapes Google Trends data, allowing me to track historical trends and predict future ones. Employed important scraping techniques to avoid detection and blocking by Google: rotating proxies, user-agent rotation, exponential backoff, and more.
